Joseph Reuben Fetterhoff

Joseph Reuben Fetterhoff, age 77, of Dublin, OH and formerly of Hilliard, OH, passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at Riverside Hospital.  He grew up in Akron, OH and graduated from Tallmadge High School Class of 1958.  After high school, he entered the United States Army and served from 1959-1963.  Joe worked for Bell Telephone Systems and retired and then started his second career as a telecommunications engineer with Litel Communications/LCT/Qwest before retiring in 2005.  He was a long-time ham radio operator WY8C and was a member and past-president of the Madison County Amateur Radio Club.  He also served as an FCC Examiner for over 20 years.  Joe was preceded in death by his parents Max and Viola and his brother Kenny.  He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Audrey K. Fetterhoff; his son Eric Fetterhoff of Powell, OH and his daughter Erica (Doug) Byers of Lewis Center, OH; his grandchildren Carter, Tessa and Tieren Byers; his siblings: Barry (Darlene) Fetterhoff of Ravenna, OH, Susan (Rick) Young of  Cuyahoga Falls, OH, and Ken Fetterhoff of Vail, AZ and their families; and by his many, good friends.  Family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00p.m. SATURDAY, JUNE 2, 2018 at WORTHINGTON CHRISTIAN CHURCH, 8145 North High Street, Columbus, OH 43235 where his Funeral Service will follow the visitation and begin at 2:00p.m. SATURDAY with Pastor David Roberson, officiating.  If they choose, friends may make memorial contributions to: Madison County Amateur Radio Club, c/o Terri Kovalchik-N8TLK, MCARC Treasurer, 4665 Lilly Chapel Opossum Road, London, OH 43140-8875.  The Tidd Family Funeral Home & Crematory, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026 (614)-876-1722, assisted the family.
