Joseph Arthur Moxley, Born March 19, 1922, to the late George J. and Alice B. Moxley, in St. Louisville, Ohio. "Artie" graduated from Utica High School in 1940, then went on to graduate from Coyne Electrical School in Chicago in 1941. Proudly served in the U.S. Navy during WWll. Joined the I.B.E.W. local 683 in 1948, for which he has been a member for 70 years. He retired in 1984. He worked for the Atomic Energy Commission in 1953 & 1954 in the Pacific. Joe enjoyed many hobbies, one of which was woodworking. He made many beautiful gifts for his wife and daughters in his workshop. Proceeded in death by brothers, Donald and William Moxley and granddaughter, Jenny Cumbo Miller. Survived by loving wife Mary Ann to whom he was married for 63 years. Loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Survived by children, JoAnn (Brad) Smith, Lisa Gillette, Cindy (Joe) Smith. Grandchildren, Jacob and Daniel Smith, Katie Smith Malleck (Brennan), Niki Gillette. Great grandchildren, Ezra Joseph and Levi Alexander Malleck. Also sister Mary K. Smith of St. Louisville, Ohio. Special thanks to Ohio Health Hospice for all their compassion and care. Special thanks to Cynthia who was his primary nurse. Donations may be made in his memory to Ohio Health Hospice. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11AM Saturday Oct. 13, 2018 at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, with a Memorial Service to follow at 11AM.
