Josephine Kintu Namasinga

The Kintu family announces with deep sorrow the passing of their beloved daughter, Josephine Kintu Namasinga, who peacefully departed this life on April 7th, 2025.

Josephine was brought to this world on March 31, 1967 in Kampala, Uganda by parents Deudia Namaganda and the late Joseph Kintu.

Josephine was a devoted mother, cherished sister, and proud grandmother. She was also a loving aunt and cousin to many—always present with open arms, wise counsel, and a nurturing heart.

Josephine studied Nursing at Montgomery College. She served faithfully as a nurse for 24 years at Washington Adventist, Ohio Health, and Atrium Health. At these places she brought genuine compassion, comfort, and healing to those in her care.

She faced a courageous three-year battle with cancer, walking through it with remarkable strength, dignity, and unwavering faith.

Her warmth, kindness, and legacy of love will forever live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched. Her smile and humor brought joy to the hearts of those who were blessed to know her. She loved to garden and you will be able to see her rose bush blooming right now with her spirit.

She is survived by her daughters Joan Namasinga, Andrea Ogandaga, and Gloria Ogandaga; her grandchildren Jaylin, Calvin (Buddy), and Noah; her brothers Dr. Matia Mulumba, and Kizito Kavuma; and several Cousins, Uncles, Aunts, and other relatives in Uganda; who will continue to honor her legacy by living life with kindness and faith.

The family invites friends and family to a visitation on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, Ohio, 43026. The visitation will begin at 5:00PM and end at 7:00PM. 

The funeral service will be held the following day, Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at St. Cecelia Church, 434 Norton Rd., Columbus, Ohio, 43228. The funeral service will begin promptly at 10:00AM and we will be heading in procession to Galloway Cemetery following the service.
