Juanita J. Huffman (Weber), age 82, of Hilliard, passed away Sunday May 24, 2009. Nita graduated from Hilliard High School in 1945 and went to work for Ohio Bell. Having taken a break to raise her family, she retired from Ameritech in 1986 with 20 years of service. She was a member of Pioneers of America, member and Past Worthy Matron, Level Chapter #109, Order of the Eastern Star, Past Guardian of Bethel #45 of Job’s Daughters, former Camp Fire co- leader, and charter member of Resurrection Evangelical Lutheran Church in Hilliard. Nita was preceded in death by her husband, Carl E. Huffman; her parents, Frank and Ednah Weber; and son-in-law, Rodger Cordial. A beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Nita is survived by her children and their spouses, Fian and Charles Van Amburgh, Caprice Huffman, and Ford and Susanne Huffman, all of Columbus. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Whitney and Carla Lewis and Alison, Jillian, and Eric Huffman, as well as great-grandsons, Kaden and Jeffrey; her brother, Eugene Weber; cousin and dear friend, Bettye Pendleton, along with many other cousins, nieces, nephews, loving family and friends. Family will receive friends Tuesday from 4-7pm at THE TIDD FUNERAL HOME 5265 Norwich St. Hilliard where a funeral service will take place at 1pm on Wednesday. The family will also receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment Maple Grove Cemetery, North Lewisburg, OH.
