Julia Ann Burdick

Julia Ann (Fishbaugh) Burdick, age 86, of Hilliard, Ohio died Saturday, April 9, 2022 at Dublin Methodist Hospital in Dublin, Ohio.

Julia was born on August 6, 1935 in Sidney, Ohio to the late Raymond and Alice Fishbaugh. Julia attended Sidney High School and earned a bachelor’s in education from Bowling Green State University.

Julia was a long time Marion, Ohio resident prior to moving to Hilliard. She was a retired business teacher from Buckeye Valley High School located in Delaware, Ohio. Julia had taught for over 32 years prior to her retirement in 1994.

Julia was an avid quilter and belonged to a quilting group that met at Central Christian Church located in Marion. She dearly loved all of her quilting friends and spoke of them frequently. Julia was also a lover of her flowers and her patio garden. She looked forward to the warm weather of Summer and spending time sitting on her patio watching the birds and the other animals that she would feed.

Julia is survived by her two sons Patrick (Jill) Burdick Hilliard, Ohio and Andrew Burdick Columbus, Ohio as well as her two grandchildren Nathan and Anna. Julia is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Julia was preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sister.

The memorial service and burial will take place at Graceland Cemetery in Sidney, Ohio this summer. Julia always said when it was her time to go not to have her funeral in the cold! She was a true lover of the warm weather and made her boys promise that they would honor her request.
