Kate Prosser

Kate Luella (Friday) Prosser born in Sigourney, Iowa on November 22, 1915, passed away June 13, 2018, living to be 102 1/2 years old. Preceded in death by father Earl Friday, mother Rena (Cobban) Friday, brother Bill Friday, sister Leno Nordquist, husband Frank Prosser and daughter Sonja (Prosser) Brown. Survived by grandchildren Julia (Douglas) Frost, William (Barbara) Brown, Kate (Joseph) Hunyor and David (Jayne Akison) Brown. 10 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren. Her memory was excellent, remembering everyone’s birthdays. She belonged to the Hilliard Senior Center, PEO Sisterhood, Chapter AV and DAR, Ann Simpson Davis Chapter. She loved playing Bridge and was a voracious reader. She also played bingo at Carriage Court where she lived her last 4 1/2 years. She retired from the US Civil Service Census Bureau and especially loved to travel in her earlier retirement years. Arrangements by Tidd Funeral Home and private burial will be in Jeffersonville, Indiana where her husband Frank is interred, at a later date.
