Kathern McCallister

Kathern Sue McCallister passed away Friday May 23, 2014 at the age of 67. She passed in the comfort of her home. Kathern was born in Columbus, Ohio on September 3, 1947 to her loving parents, Lawrence and Marilyn Hesson where she was the youngest of two older brothers. Her life story truly began with the birth of her daughters Kelly and Christene. From then on she devoted her entire life to loving, supporting and modeling character for her children. She taught them three important life lessons; What you can achieve with hard work, what it means to sacrifice, and what it takes to be a good mother. She showed love and compassion to her daughters everyday. Her heart only continued to grow through her life as she took joy in showing the same care and devotion with her grandchildren, her husband and the care of her mother. No words can express how cherished and adored Kathern is. She will be forever remembered through the actions of whom her boundless love touched and transformed. Kathern was preceded in death by her eldest brother Dickie, father and mother. She is survived by her dedicated husband, Jack McCallister; loving daughters, Kelly Carsey and Christene Martin; and her four grateful grandchildren, Randy Hogston, Travis Hogston, Kayla Martin and Mckenna Martin. Family will receive friends Tuesday 3-5 p.m. at the TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich Street, Hilliard, OH. Funeral service, Wednesday at 1 p.m. Burial, Kingwood Cemetery, Lewis Center, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of ones choice for Breast Cancer or Alzheimers research. Arrangements completed by TIDD FUNERAL HOME, Hilliard, OH.
