Kathryn Headlee

Kathryn P. Headlee, age 87, of Hilliard, Ohio, went home peacefully to be with her Lord on Sunday, October 14, 2012. Left to cherish her memory is her loving and devoted husband of 67 years, Carl Headlee, their children Carol (Dennis) Koons and Lori (Rob) Headlee-Livermore. Kathryn was a devoted wife, mom, grandma and great grandma who loved her family. She faithfully served her Lord at St. Pauls’ Lutheran Church where she was actively involved in the church choir, bible groups, a Sunday school teacher and serving others. She was a member of Hilliard O.E.S. Level Chapter #109 and a charter member of Hilliard Post 614 Ladies Auxiliary. She was a beautician and owner of Town and Country Beauty Salon. She enjoyed camping, reading, playing cards, baking, working in her vegetable and rose gardens, and keeping active with her family and friends. She especially loved Christmas. Kathryn’s favorite Biblical passage was Psalm 121: The Lord is thy keeper. The Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore. Also survived by sister Dorothy Mathew, grandchildren Bryon (Debbie) Koons, Tyler and Taylor Livermore and great grandchildren Mason and Alex Koons. Preceded in death by her parents Carl and Estella Krieger, brothers Walter, Harold, and Edward and sisters Esther, Edna, Lillian, Francis and Elnora. Mom, we love you and we miss you, you will be forever in our hearts. Family will receive friends 4-8 pm Thursday at the TIDD FUNERAL HOME WITH CREMATORY, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026. Funeral service will be held 11 am Friday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 55 Pasadena Ave., Columbus, OH 43228 with Pastor Larry Baker and Pastor William McKee officiating. In honoring Kathryn’s wishes, cremation will take place. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to HomeReach Hospice, Ohio Health Foundation, 180 E. Broad St., Columbus, OH 43215-3707.
