Kenneth L. Slyh, 97, was called home by his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 8, 2016. He was born May 28, 1918 to Leroy and Bertha Slyh in Hilliard, Ohio, and he graduated from Hilliard High School. Kenny was a very hard working man who did many things from farming to owning and operating The Hilliard Dry Cleaner to being a greeter at Meijer. He was a great provider for his family. He was also very civic minded as he was on the Dairy Board, Board of Health, an alternate delegate to the Farm Bureau Federation. He was also a part of the legislative board of Madison County. He was a huge fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Indians. He was also a long time member of Big Darby Baptist Church. Most importantly, Kenny loved Jesus and told ANYONE that he encountered about this love. His wife Marcy was always by his side and he loved her very much and missed her deeply after her passing. He was preceded in death last year by his loving wife of 67 years, Marcelene. He is survived by two children, David(Judy) Slyh and Kevin(Susan) Slyh; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grand-children and brother Paul (Dorothy) Slyh. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 12 from 6-8pm at The Tidd Family Funeral Home, 5265 Norwich Street, Hilliard, Ohio. A celebration of life service will be held on Wednesday April 13 at 11am at Big Darby Baptist Church, 6921 Plain City Georgesville Road, Plain City.
