Ladonna Sampson

Ladonna Coulter Sampson, age 95, of Galloway passed away April 10, 2023, at Doctors Hospital under hospice care. She was born August 19, 1927, to Joseph and Sarah Coulter. Ladonna graduated in the Class of 1944 from Hilliard High School and married Alva “Abe” Sampson on December 14, 1947. Abe and Ladonna lived on Abe’s family farm outside Hilliard and raised their son Roger. In 1976 they moved to Arizona where they thoroughly enjoyed the climate, landscape and people. After Abe died, Ladonna moved back to Ohio in 2011 and lived very independently in her beloved condo until just a few weeks ago. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, five siblings and many dear friends and relatives. She is survived and was loved and supported by "the best nieces and nephews in the world”:  Dick (Peg) Elliott, Charlene (Ron, deceased) Schoonover, Jim Elliott (John Behal), Sue (Ron) Sparks, Ann (Ron) McCullough, Cathy (Dewey) Sayre and Bill Coulter; many great and great-great nieces and nephews; as well as long-time and new friends.
