Larry Bryant

d. January 17, 2022

Larry Roland Bryant, age 72, passed away unexpectedly on January 17, 2022.  He was born on May 30, 1949 in Odd, West Virginia.  Larry graduated from Hilliard High School in 1967 and then attended The Ohio State University where he was a member of the wrestling team. Larry went on to proudly serve his country in the Ohio Army National Guard.  In 1971, he met the love of his life, Sally (Lisk), and they married in 1975.   Larry worked at Big Bear for 36 years and then for Hilliard City Schools for 17 years.  His work ethic is only surpassed by his love for family which he put above all else.  He enjoyed cheering for his kids and grandkids at sporting events and listening to them sing on stage.  Larry was a Patriot Life Endowment Member of the NRA and enjoyed hunting and fishing.  He did not know a stranger and made and kept friends wherever he went.   A man of faith, Larry is happily riding one of his several lawn mowers in heaven, meticulously caring for what matters most, just as he did in life.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Irene Bryant, and parents-in-law, Harold and Betty Lisk, and many other loved ones.  Larry will be greatly missed by his wife of 46 years, Sally (Lisk); children, Barry (April) Bryant, Josh Bryant, Trisha (Nathan) Clark; grandchildren, Warren Mounts, Jaiden, Isaac, and Luke Bryant, Sadie and Gracie Clark; sister Sharandia Evans; brother Gary (Mary) Bryant; brother-in-law Greg (Ann) Lisk and Thom (Sonia) Lisk; nephews Rodney, Mark, Todd, Ricky, Jay and Michael; nieces Susan, Katie, Tiffany, Erin, Brittany, and Abigail.  Family will receive friends and family from 3-5 PM and 6-8 PM on Friday, January 21 at Tidd’s Funeral Home, 5265 Norwich Street, Hilliard, where a funeral service will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, January 22.  Interment will follow at Wesley Chapel Cemetery and family invites you to gather at The Crooked Can, 5354 Center Street in Hilliard immediately afterwards to celebrate Larry’s life.  Larry loved to tell and hear stories, so please visit www.tiddfuneralhomes.com to share your memories with his family.
