Laura Ballard Lewis

Laura B. Lewis, age 60, of Hilliard, Ohio passed away privately in her own home on January 25, 2022, in Hilliard, OH.  Laura was born in Grandview Heights, Ohio on February 20, 1961, to Harold and Charlotte Ballard along with two older sisters and one younger brother. Laura grew up and attended high school in Grandview Heights and graduated in the class of 1979, where she still has many close and loving friends. 

Laura worked at The Ohio State University Hospital in the SICU Department and retired from the University in November 2014.  Laura enjoyed vacationing in Florida and visited multiple cities in Florida.  Laura favorite vacation destination being Bradenton, Florida where Laura enjoyed being in the sun, swimming in pools, and enjoying the beaches on Anna Maria Island.  Laura married on April 28, 2000, to Michael D. Lewis on Snead Beach in Bradenton, Florida, and continued to live in Hilliard, Ohio.

 Laura is survived by (Brother) Paul Ballard and (Sisters) Karen Sullivan and Lisa (Jeff) DeCarlo; (Children) Alexander (Kali) Watts, Ian Watts, Isaac (Guher Livatyali) Watts; (Grand-Children) Oliver, and Evelynn Watts; (Step-Children) Brandon (Tad Niemann) Lewis, Cameron (Leighann Hall) Lewis, and Zachery Lewis; and so many nieces, nephews, and friends. Special thanks to the Hospice staff and medical caregivers as well as the Ohio State Comprehensive Transplant Center and coordinators. 

Family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00 p.m. SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 5, 2022 at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich Street, Hilliard, OH 43026 (614)-876-1722 where her Memorial Service will follow the visitation and begin at 3:00 p.m. SATURDAY with Reverend Phil Conrad, officiating.  Private family burial will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Columbus, OH.
