SOWERS Laura Agnes Sowers, age 89 of Columbus, died Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at Franklin Woods Nursing Home. She was born August 8, 1921 in Mt. Sterling, Ohio.
Long time member of West Park United Methodist Church. A Beautician in the Linden area for 60 years.
Preceded in death by parents, Gilbert and Lizzy Sowers, and infant sister Hilda.
She is survived by brother Lester (Georgia) Sowers; nieces Judy (Dave) Scott, Melody Bartoe; nephew Gary Sowers; great nieces Mary, Lesley (Dave), Laura (Dave), Jennie (Zene); great, great nieces and nephews Christian, Isabel, Zene, Carson, Anna; cousins Jean Bragg and Martha (Don) Howell.
A Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 27, 2010 at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, Mt. Sterling. Rev. Jeff Julien officiating with the interment following in Pleasant Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Sunday, Sept. 26, 2010 from 2 – 5 p.m.
