LaVerne “Buck” Rettger, age 67 of Mt. Sterling died Monday, February 8, 2010 at his residence. He was born April 8, 1942 in St. Mary’s, PA. He was the son of Charles John and Edith (Squires) Rettger.
Preceded in Death by his second wife, Donna Rettger.
He is survived by children, Cliff Rettger, Dennis (Debbie) Rettger, Barbara Rettger, Andy (Donna) Rettger; 8 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren; Step-children, Fred (Judy) Grunthaner, Randy (Lisa) Grunthaner, Ronnie (Deanna) Grunthaner, Kenny (Sheri) Grunthaner, David (Debbie) Grunthaner, and Allen Grunthaner; 8 step-grandchildren, 7 step-great grandchildren, family all of Pennsylvania.
A Memorial visitation will be held Saturday, February 13, 2010 from 1 -3 p.m. Family will receive friends at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Sterling.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation was requested. A Memorial service will be held at a later date with his family and friends in PA.
