Lawrence R. Vulgamore, 82 of Mt. Sterling died Thursday, September 2, 2010 in Riverside Methodist Hospital. He was born Feb. 6, 1928 in New Boston, Ohio. He retired as a Supervisor of Timken Company. Mr. Vulgamore served in the Army National Guard.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence, Sr and Ila (Slose) Vulgamore; wife, Virginia; brothers, Eldon and Dallas; sister, Norma Jane.
He is survived by sons, John (Pam) Vulgamore, Lawrence Vulgamore III, Donald (Roberta) Vulgamore, all of Mt. Sterling; daughters Linda Swick of Galloway, Vicki (Jerry) Hager of Washington C.H.; 9 grandchildren, Tecka, Dusty, Laura, John III (Stephanie), Dawn (Stanley, Jr), Michael, Billieann, Tessa, and Stephanie; 18 great grandchildren; brother Martin (Ann) Vulgamore of New Hampshire; nieces and nephews.
A Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Sterling. Rev. Dortha Ross officiating with the burial following in Pleasant Cemetery. A military service will be performed by the Circleville Amvets Post #2256 at the grave site. Visitation will be Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2010 from 5 – 8 p.m.
