Lee Tracy, age 85 of Mt. Sterling died Monday, January 10, 2011 in Court House Manor.
He was born August 28, 1925 in Orient, Ohio. Son of the late Cecil and Bessie (Hill) Tracy.
Lee was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Mt. Sterling; 50 yr member of the Masonic Lodge #269 F & AM, Mt. Sterling; Western Horse Club; Ohio Horse Judge for 54 years; State of Ohio 4-H Judges Committee; American Horse Show Association; Approved Judge; various other breed associations; horse trainer for numerous years.
He was preceded in death by wife, Jean Ann Tracy; brother, Bob (Betty) Tracy; sister, Janet (Virgil) Beavers.
He is survived by his loving daughters, Kyle (John) Mossbarger and Kay Tracy (Chip Jackson) of Washington C.H.; granddaughters Jamie Lee (Kyle) Butts and their daughter, Camryn; Jill Ann (Chris) Cottrill and their daughter, Caitlyn.
In keeping with Lee’s wishes, cremation has been requested. A Memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Sterling. Rev. Michael Berne officiating. Family will receive friends from 1 – 3 p.m. At the close of the memorial service a Masonic service will be given. The interment of Lee’s ashes will be in Pleasant Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the First United Methodist Church in Mt. Sterling or Fayette County Hospice. Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
