Leo C. Broschart, age 92, of Hilliard, OH, passed away Friday, August 17, 2018. Born and raised in Gary, Indiana to the late Ann and Carl Broschart. He graduated from Lew Wallace High School in Gary, and then served in the U.S. Army from 1944-46 in the North Pacific, Philippines and Korea. He graduated from Indiana University, Bloomington with a B.S. in Business. Moved to Columbus, OH where he worked for the F&R Lazarus & Co. and met his future wife. He also worked for Jones Witter and Co., Adam H. Bartel Co., and Quantum Services. Preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Eileen, brothers Bob (Elaine) and Jerry, sister Marianne (Dan) Oprish and brother-in-law Richard Miller. Survived by children, Carol McLaughlin, Diane (Dave) Rodriguez, and Charlie (Beth) Broschart; grandchildren, Joey (Samantha) McLaughlin, Megan (Paul) Abbott, Zackary (Rachel) Rodriguez, Kristin (Gera) Grabovich, Carmen (Matt) Duddey, and Thomas, Will and Ann Broschart; great grandchild, Jack Abbott, and sister, Helen Miller and many nieces and nephews. Leo was a longtime member of St. Agatha Catholic Church and resided in Upper Arlington much of his adult life. He loved Indiana Hoosier basketball and good home-cooked meals. We will all miss his wittiness, dry sense of humor, little stories and tidbits of knowledge, and his big smile whenever he would laugh. Family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Friday at TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday, August 25, 2018 at ST. AGATHA CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1860 Northam Rd, Upper Arlington, OH, 43221. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.Lewis Center, OH.
