Lewis DeVault

Lewis H. DeVault, born September 13 1921 to Charles and Flavy (Price) DeVault, died August 3, 2010. Lew was preceded in death by brothers Richard (Anna) DeVault and Harlan (Cleo) DeVault, grandson Scott Jason Mates as well as many other relatives and friends. He was a US Army Veteran of WWII and the Columbus Police Department, retiring in 1971. His timely wit and unrelenting advocacy will be missed by all; especially his children Saundra McCoy, Susan (Rodney) Mates, Louis (Maretta) DeVault and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The family will be honoring his life 5-7 pm Thursday at the TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026; where funeral service will be held 10 am Friday. Interment Dublin Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, 966 East Main St., Columbus, OH 43205.
