Linda Boyd

Linda Darlene Boyd, age 63, of Hilliard, passed away on August 28, 2011 in her home state of Ohio. Born in Coronado, CA where her father was stationed in the US Navy, she leaves a legacy of humor, kindness and caring to all of those she touched during her time with us. "Nin", "Ninny" "Lin", "Fort", "Ganal" & "Grandma Coca-Cola" enjoyed bringing a smile to the faces around her in the most unreserved ways and lived a life of selfless giving to her family and friends. Often, you would see a small smirk on her face and twinkle in her eye when it was mentioned that she was voted Most Mischievous of the Hilliard High School class of 1965 - she would note, "it was well deserved." She will be missed and cherished by those who had the privilege of calling her a colleague, friend, sister, aunt, grandma or mom.
She follows her father, Henry Fortney, mother, Fern Stumpf and brother, Doug Fortney. She is survived by her two children, Gena Boyd of Hilliard, Ohio and Chad Boyd of Thousand Oaks, CA, her three grandchildren, Chelsey, Olivia and Owen Boyd, her siblings: Rick (Connie) Fortney, Kris (Chuck) Brown, Lisa (Kevin) Wade and Kim (Doug) Butt, 15 nieces/nephews and 19 great-nieces/nephews.
An open celebration of her life will take place on Saturday September 3 at 4849 Dori Park Dr., Hilliard, Ohio 43026, beginning at 10am and continuing throughout the day.
