Linda Kay Haynes

Linda Kay Haynes lost her 15-month battle with cancer on Wednesday, December 14, 2022. Her passing
will leave a tremendous void in the lives of her family, friends, and others she touched.

Her beautiful smile would light the room as she entered. She was passionate about her faith and a
strong advocate for her family always striving for the best from her children and grandchildren. A
servant at heart, not wanting to be cast into the limelight, she devoted countless hours to her
church’s children’s program and Honduras missions.

Linda was born on January 20, 1961, to the late John and Marilyn Ruff. Linda is survived by her
loving family: husband of 38 years, Jeff, sister, Carol (Jim) Skoog, sister, Ellen (Jeff) Mordas and
brother, Glenn Ruff, children, Timothy Haynes, Nicholas Haynes, Andrew (Kamryn) Haynes,
Daniel Haynes, Salynn Parker, Sadie Haynes, Patrick Haynes, and adoring grandchildren.

Linda was valedictorian of Bloom Carroll High School class of 1979 and graduated with honors
with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Ohio University in 1983. In addition to teaching, Linda co-owned Buckeye Boarding with her husband Jeff and worked many years for the Hilliard Division of Police.

Family will receive friends on Monday, December 19 from 3pm – 7pm at Life Community
Church, 4400 Cemetery Road, Hilliard, Ohio where a celebration of life service will be held on
Tuesday, December 20 at 1pm.
