Loetta Crain

Loetta Mary Anna Crain, age 62, of Hilliard Ohio, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Tuesday April 10, 2012 at Doctors West Hospital in Columbus. She was born August 21, 1949 in Rolla, Missouri to Carl and Anna Crain. Loetta overcame odds with spit and vinegar. She worked hard in her mid-life to accomplish obtaining her GED and went on to get her License as a Respiratory Therapist. She was caring and empathetic to her patients. Her co-workers were more than just acquaintances, they were friends. Loetta loved animals of all kinds, but most especially dogs, cats and horses. She enjoyed riding horses with her daughters when she had the opportunity. She was an avid reader. In her more agile days, she loved to paint and embroidery. She loved God’s creations in nature and she spent as much time outside as she could, whether it be in her gardens, soaking up the sun or swimming. Most important to Loetta was her family. Survived by daughter Leeta Matlock; son-in-law Frank Glover; grandson Christopher Glover; grandson Anthony Matlock and his wife April Matlock; grandson Miles Matlock; grandson Jason Glover; brother Jackie Crain; sister Carol Mitchell; sister Lila Sue Riley and her husband Bruce Riley; sister Tammy Edgerton; and aunt Fern Seest along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Preceded in death by daughter Lorie Ann Glover, father and mother Carl and Anna Crain; step-mother Mary Crain; sister JoAnn Nash; and brother Jimmie Crain. Family will receive friends Friday 11am-1 pm at the TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026. A memorial service will be held 5:30 pm Friday at Vineyard Church, 6000 Cooper Rd., Westerville, OH 43081. Further arrangements will be held in her home town of Rolla, MO.
