Lois Moran Proper

Lois Moran Proper, 86, of Galloway, Ohio, peacefully passed away August 7, 2024, surrounded by loved ones. Lois was born on December 5, 1937, to Glen and Alice (Snider) Moran in Columbus, Ohio at White Cross Hospital and grew up on Terrace Avenue. 

Lois graduated from West High School in 1955. Afterwards she went to Capitol University. Lois lived most of her life on the west side of the Columbus area. After having her three children, she worked as a legal secretary at Certified Oil Company and then Battelle for 21 years. While working at Battelle, she returned to Capitol University and received her paralegal certification. She retired after about 30 years at Battelle as a paralegal. Her legacy is highlighted by the fact that each of her children has trusted Jesus Christ as Savior, and each have beautiful families of their own. Lois was a hard-working woman. She loved God, was devoted to her church, and enjoyed her family including playing games such as Uno, dice and croquet. She also loved to garden. Besides her profession, she volunteered for many positions at her church including board member, treasurer of LICF, MOPS, and singing in the choir. Lois was also a founding member of LICF. She loved being a mother and grandma. She will be missed by all her knew her.

Lois is survived by her daughter, Debra (Olen) Lund and their three children-Robert, Michael and Laura; son, Ronald (Kris) Proper and their two children -Jessika and Jeffrey; and son, Richard (Melody) Proper and their three children-Joshua, Joseph and Jasmine. She also had 2 8/9 great grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Janet (Howard) Young. 

The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, August 9th from 6 to 8 pm. Funeral service will be held at 1:30 pm on August 10th. Both will be at Life In Christ Fellowship (LICF) at 500 SR 142, West Jefferson, OH 43162.
