Lois Ann (Morris) Reeves, age 75, of Indianapolis, IN, passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2017. Lois was raised in Hilliard and graduated from Hilliard High School and The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science, Education. She traveled with her husband in the US Air Force in three states and Germany. As well as living in Indianapolis and Hilliard, she also lived in Kansas and Illinois. She taught school in Ohio and five other states. She was a “looping” teacher, teaching first grade and “looping” to second grade with the same class. After retiring, she volunteered with the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis working with children in the Power of Children Exhibit. She also volunteered with Outreach, Inc., working with homeless youth ages 14-24. She was preceded in death by her father and mother Robert H. and Laura E. Morris. She is survived by her loving husband John B. Reeves, son and daughter-in-law John R. Reeves and Rebecca Boughton, her two granddaughters Madeline and Cassandra Reeves, sisters Mary Lou (William) Harris, Dr. Marilyn (Ed) Hoeflinger. Private family services will be held at the Tidd Family Funeral Home with a public Celebration of Lois’ Life to be held later. (Date and Time to be announced later.) Burial will be held at Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
