Loran West

Loran West, age 91, of Columbus, passed away, Tuesday, May 12, 2009. US Army Veteran of WWII. Life long member of West Park United Methodist Church and a leader of Boy Scouts of America Troop 29 for 41 years. Preceded in death by parents and brothers. Survived by loving wife of 68 years Virginia, children Kenneth (Chris) West, Gary (Jean) West and Kathy (Steve) Lower, grandchildren Lori (Cleve) Guffey, Sandi (Doug) Henson, Marsha (Dennie) Dahmer, Erin West, Barbara (Steve) Self, Becky (Aaron) Boggs, and Breanna West, 14 great grandchildren, nephews, nieces and friends. Family will receive friends 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm Thursday at the TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard; where funeral service will be held 10 am Friday with Pastor Jeff Julien officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the West Park United Methodist Church, 89 West Park Ave., Columbus, OH 43222. Interment Sunset Cemetery.
