Louis Feigelson, age 88, of Columbus, passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2006.WWII Veteran Major U.S. Army who served as a Commander of Artillery Battery and Cargo Officer. Received many academic honors throughout his education, which he completed with a Master’s in Social Work from University of Pennsylvania. He was a youth counselor at Pride of Judea Orphanage and was a true pioneer in the field of Child Welfare Services. Preceded in death by his mother Rose, father David, brothers Jack and Phil Feigelson and Murray Katzowitz. Survived by son Cliff (Sheri) Feigelson of Redmond, WA, daughters Joyce (Jim) Gericke of Columbus and Karen L. Phelps of Tucson, AZ, grandchildren Paul (Wendy), Kelly, Dylan, Carrie, Alyssa, and Scott, and great grandchildren Felicia, Michael, and Maddison. A memorial service will be held 11 am Tuesday, October 3, 2006 at the Wexner Heritage Village, 1151 College Ave., Columbus, OH 43209. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wexner Heritage Village.
