Louise Kathryn Gordon Stoer, 92 of Mt. Sterling passed away Friday, September 4, 2009 at Mt. Carmel West Medical Center in Columbus.
She was born October 3, 1916 in Pike County, Ohio, daughter of the late Wilbur and Philabena (Smith) Gordon.
She was a Life member of the First United Methodist Church in Mt. Sterling; an associate member of McGregor Baptist Church and 20 year volunteer of South West Regional Hospital, both of Ft. Myers, FL.; a volunteer of Red Bird Mission in Beverly, Kentucky; present member of
Mt. Sterling Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Kenneth Justus Stoer and daughter, Janet Stoer Babb, also 3 brothers.
Survived by daughters Dr. Linda Stoer-Scaggs (Dr. Stan Sateren) of Granville and Vicki Stoer Huston (Wade) of Maineville; son-in-law Neil Babb of London; grandchildren Lisa Scaggs Oskoui (Bahram), Jonathan Scaggs, Sienna Babb, and Katrin Babb.A Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Sterling. Rev. Tony Wagner officiating with the interment following in Pleasant Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 8, 2009 from 3 – 8 p.m.
