Lovvoyd Bentley

Lovvoyd (Mutt) Dean Bentley was born on August 15, 1948 in a “holler” in McDowell, KY to Vern and Madis (Siders) Bentley. He was the oldest of 7 children. Lovvoyd moved to Columbus, Ohio after schooling. He became a dedicated employee of Simmons Mattress Factory. He retired from there after 36 years. He met his future wife Joyce Sparks through his sister Deanna and were married for 44 years. He loved his family very much. He was very involved in all their lives through the various BMX racing, sports and school events he attended. He was an avid Harley motorcycle rider. He traveled the country on many family vacations on land, lakes and sea. Casino trips and cruises too. Lovvoyd created such wonderful memories for all. Preceded in death by parents Vern and Madis (Siders) Bentley and wife Joyce (Sparks) Bentley. Survived by son Chris (Maureen Patterson) Bentley, daughter Jody Bentley, 3 grandchildren, Jeff, Elisha and Cody, 5 great grandchildren, Brayden, Connor, Madison, Carson and Alena, siblings Deanna, Steve, Stanley, Donna, Robert, Gail and Melissa, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends from 11am-12pm on Friday, August 30, 2024 at the TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026; where funeral service will follow at 12 pm. There will be a gathering at Deanna’s after service.
