Lucy Marie Baggs

Lucille Marie Baggs, 76, of Hilliard, Ohio, formerly of Terre Haute, Indiana, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 6, 2023. She was born on January 1, 1947 to Thomas and Stella Duda in Chicago, Illinois. 

Her life included many wonderful experiences including serving wounded Vietnam servicemen at the Great Lakes Naval Hospital, planning banquets at the Chicago Hilton Palmer House Hotel,  and supporting the advertising firm, Needham Harper and Steers. Beyond these accomplishments, she additionally was a legal secretary to her brother James Duda and the secretary for Saint Patrick’s Catholic School.

Nothing meant more to her than her family, first marrying Leo Baggs in 1970. Together they had two boys, Garrett Baggs (Amanda) of New Castle, Indiana, and Christopher Baggs (Lynsay) of Hilliard, Ohio.  

Lucy was blessed with three wonderful grandchildren, Daniel, Sarah, and Rebecca.

Lucille is welcomed into Heaven by her husband Leo, parents Thomas and Stella Duda, and brother James Duda.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Brendan the Navigator, Hilliard, Ohio at 10 a.m. on Monday, August 14.  Burial will take place at the Dayton National Cemetery in Dayton, Ohio, on Tuesday, August 15 at 10 a.m.
