Lucy Hickey

Lucy Catherine Hickey, age 52, of Columbus, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2013. She was born May 25, 1960 in Columbus, OH. Lucy obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in business at The Ohio State University in 1985. She was the Chairperson of Disabilities including the Adult Special Ed Classes, the CCD Special Children classes, was a Big Sister in the Columbus program and an assistant to the Coordinator for Pet Visitation at the Humane Society. She was well known for her cooking which made her popular with family, friends and children. She also enjoyed crocheting presents for her relatives and friends. Survived by parents William P. Hickey and Katherine A. Hickey, brothers David W. Hickey of Florence, KY and Philip C. (Nicolette) Hickey of Portland, OR, sister Minnie A. Hickey, nephew Neal (Kelly) Hickey, nieces Rene’ (Bob) Jamison, Natalie Hickey and Ashley Hickey, great nieces Rylee Hickey, Eila Hickey and Haley Grace Jamison, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and neighbors at Seton Square North and St. Brendan Catholic Church where she was very active for many years. Friends may call from 10am-11am Friday at ST. BRENDAN THE NAVIGATOR CATHOLIC CHURCH 4475 Dublin Rd. Hilliard, OH 43026 where a Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11am with Celebrants Father Bob Penhallurick, Father Jeffrey Tigyer, and Father Michael Watson.
