Ly Anne Brown, 42, of Galena, Ohio died suddenly and unexpectedly on February 15, 2016, at Mount Carmel East Hospital. She was born on September 21, 1973, in Hardin County Kentucky to Wilmer Lamarr Reece (deceased) and Hang Thi Tran. She had two brothers, Roger and Johnny, and a sister, Linh Marie Pugay. Ly Anne was the mother of 5 children, Christopher, Nathaniel, Joshua, Jason and Arielle. She is married to Rick Brown, and the couple lived in Galena, Ohio at the time of her sudden death. Ly Anne attended South High School in Columbus and graduated from Columbus State Community College in 2005 and from Ohio Dominican University in December, 2008, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration/Business Management. She had a very successful business career in several capacities, including as a paralegal, Realtor and Franklin County Board of Revisions Clerk and Supervisor. She excelled in all that she did. Ly Anne accepted Jesus as her savior as a young adult and nurtured her strong Christian faith until her death. She was a member of Genoa Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Celebration Choir, and previously a member at Worthington Christian Church. Ly Anne had a huge heart for the poor and less fortunate. She was active in church prison ministries, Bible Study Fellowship and twice went on mission trips to Mexico to build houses for the poor. Ly Anne was a devoted wife and mother. She touched all she met. Ly Anne is survived by her mother Hang Jennings; her stepfather, Keith Jennings; husband, Rick Brown; sons Christopher (26), Nathaniel (24), Joshua (17), Jason (15) and daughter, Arielle (13). A memorial service will be held at 3 pm on Sunday, February 21 at Genoa Baptist Church, 7562 Lewis Center Rd, Westerville, OH 43082.
