Lyle Allen

Lyle Fredrick “Fred” Allen Jr., of Hilliard, Ohio passed peacefully at home June 15, 2015. Fred was born December 8, 1945 in Columbus, Ohio to Lyle Fredrick Allen Sr. and Frances E. (Vaughan) Allen. Fred is preceded in death by his parents Lyle and Frances. Fred is survived by his wife Linda (Heflin) Allen; son Andrew Wayne Allen; brother Craig M. (Mary T.) Allen; sister-in-law Carol A. (John) Jewett; nephews Nicholas (Ashley) Allen, Brian Jewett and Justin Allen; niece Jennifer Jewett; great nieces Fiona and Zoe and great nephew Ryan. Fred graduated from Dublin High School Class of 1963 and attended The Ohio State University. Fred was an avid Ohio State Football and band fan. He loved to golf, cook, garden and bird watch. Family will receive friends (casual dress encouraged) 12-1 pm Friday at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026; where a memorial service will follow at 1pm.
