Lyn Marsh

Lyn E. Marsh, age 67, of Hilliard, passed away Friday, July 16, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born July 29, 1942. A lifelong resident of Hilliard, he was an active member of many organizations: Avery Lodge #493 Free and Accepted Masons Past Master 1975 and 2002, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Columbus, 33rd Degree Mason, recipient of the Franklin Council “Workman of the Temple Award” which has since been renamed the “Lyn Marsh Workman of the Temple Award” in his honor, York-Temple Chapter #155 Royal Arch Masons, York Council #115 Royal and Selected Masons, Columbus Commandery #69, Aladdin Shrine AAONMA (Past Masters Unit), Claddagh Council #86, Knights Masons of Ireland, Royal Order of Scotland, Central Ohio Anglers and Hunters Club, Franklin County Memorial Lodge, Northwest Franklin County Historical Society, Bentonville Anti-Horse Thief Society, Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels, Sons of the American Revolution, Charter Member Kiwanis Club of Hilliard, Moose Lodge and National Rifle Association. He is preceded in death by his father, Richard (Dick) Marsh. Survived by mother, Esther (Dillon) Marsh and his children, Elaine, Karen, Kelly (Bill) Maffit, Dean, Kori, and Brian; grandchildren, Joshua Czich, Sam and Eli Maffit, Aedan and Grace Marsh; great grandchildren, Andrew and Simon Czich; sister, Mary Beth, and loving companion, Jaqueline Bowman. Friends may call Monday from 2-4pm & 6-8pm at THE TIDD FUNERAL HOME 5265 Norwich St. Hilliard, OH 43026 where a Masonic service will be held at 8pm. Funeral Service will be held 1pm Tuesday at the funeral home with one hour visitation prior to services. Interment Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
