Madlyn Mathis

Madlyn Louise Mathis, age 90, passed away Thursday, September 7, 2016 at the Laurels of Hilliard. Born November 22, 2016 in Wheeling, WV to the late Adrian Edward and Mary Kathryn (Groves) Mathis. Also preceded in death by husbands, Robert P. Scott and Robert M. Walosin; grandparents, John and Katie T. (Beazle) Mathis and Dr. Charles and Elizabeth (Shilling) Groves; and brother, Adrian "Tip" Mathis Jr. Survived by daughter, Kathryn Louise and her husband, Chuck Schott. Madlyn was a member of the Eastern Star - Moonrie Shrine Club, a State and Presidential Fund Raiser, a certified caregiver in Florida Nursing Homes, involved in Green Thumb Inc. - Michigan Program, and a volunteer at Mercy Memorial Hospital Systems. In keeping with Madlyn's wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no services planned. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your local Veteran's Association.
