SPANGLER Maralyn J. Spangler, age 86 of Mt. Sterling, died Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at her residence. She was born July 26, 1924 in Orient, Ohio. The daughter of the late Edgar and Mary (McKinley) Bogenrife.
Maralyn was retired from Sterling Pharmacy, member of First United Methodist Church, Mt. Sterling, and Pythian Sisters.
Preceded in death by husband, Sam Spangler, brothers Orville and Carl, sister-in-law, Barb.
She is survived by her loving children, Joyce (Roger) Depugh of Mt. Sterling, David (Lori) Spangler of Grove City, and Rhonda (Joe) Jackson of Columbus; 7 grandchildren Craig (Sandy) Depugh, Chad Depugh, Kara Depugh, Mindi Bock, Joe (Amanda) Spangler, Scott and Kevin Jackson, step-granddaughter, Lisa Smith; 4 great grandchildren; brother Wayne Bogenrife of Chillicothe; sisters Doris (Frank) Dixon and Mary Garrett, both of Grove City; sister-in-law, Betty Bogenrife of Mt. Sterling; several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 11, 2010 at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Sterling. Rev. Ron Reynolds and Rev. Dortha Ross officiating with the burial following in Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, Dec. 10th from 3 – 7 p.m.
