Margaret Leitenberger

Margaret "Peg" Leitenberger, 72, of Hilliard, went to be with the Lord on January 9, 2012. Peg was born on February 1, 1939 in Mansfield, Ohio to the late George and Marion Moyer. On June 22, 1957 she married Paul M. Leitenberger who passed away on May 19, 1990. Peg is survived by her daughters, Jeanne Atkins of Findlay, Janie Gynn of Hilliard, and Judy Leitenberger of Hilliard; grand-daughter, Jennifer Gynn (Dan) Meier, Des Moines, Iowa; four sisters, Dorothy Gies of Shelby, OH, Mary Lou (Ralph) Haller of Mansfield, Phyllis Crooker of Mansfield, and Julie Ferguson of Alburquerque, NM; one brother, George (Sue) Moyer of Jackson. Peg retired as Administrative Assisitant from Marburn Academy on April 30, 2009. She loved sharing her days with the Marburn Academy staff, students and parents. She was a forty year member of St. Brendan Catholic Church. Peg loved her family and friends dearly. She also enjoyed writing poetry, dancing, laughing, and being a mother to all. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2012 from 10-11 a.m. at TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich Street, Hilliard, OH with funeral services immediately following visitation. Committal services and interment will be at Wesley Chapel on Dublin Road. Memorial contributions may be made to Marburn Academy, 1860 Walden Drive, Columbus, OH 43229; Faith Mission, Columbus, OH; or the Capital Area Humane Society, Columbus, OH.
