Maria Fitzpatrick

Maria Elizabeth Fitzpatrick, age 72, of Hilliard, born November 14, 1942 in Santa Maria Ixhuatan, Guatemala, C.A., passed away November 3, 2015 at Grant Medical Center after a brief illness. Member of St. Brendan the Navigator Catholic Church. She worked for many years in the day care industry. Maria was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed by those whose lives she touched. She was an avid writer and loved all animals especially her rescue cats. Preceded in death by parents Manuel and Catalina Hernandez Jaurequi, brother Tulio Gilberto Hernandez Maradiaga. Survived by loving husband of 39 years, Dan, daughters Mariela (Scott) O’Leary and Jacqueline Fitzpatrick , grandchildren Alexia, Giselle, Hugh and Brianna O’Leary, sisters Lilia Aida, Emma Aracely and Berta luz Hernandez Maradiaga, numerous loving relatives and friends. A funeral mass will be held 1 pm Monday at St. Brendan the Navigator Catholic Church, 4475 Dublin Rd., Hilliard, OH 43026. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Capital Area Humane Society. Inurnment Resurrection Cemetery, Romeoville, IL.
