Marie E. Reid, age 87 of Mt. Sterling, died Wednesday evening, October 27, 2010 at Pickaway Manor Care Center in Circleville. She was born July 24, 1923 in Pickaway County, Ohio. The daughter of the late William and Rilla (Hill) Liston.
Mrs. Reid was a Payroll Clerk for Grange Mutual Casualty Company for 26 years and a member of the Star Grange.
She was preceded in death by husband, Carroll Reid, and sister Medrith Hanawalt, and son-in-law, Ernie Lindsey.
She is survived by son, Larry (Linda) Reid; daughter, Linda Lindsey, both of Mt. Sterling; 5 grandchildren Brian (Bethany) Reid of Kingston, Robin Towler of Mt. Sterling, Jim (Cathy) Lindsey of Washington C.H., Jeff Lindsey of Mt. Sterling, and Jon (Tracey) Lindsey of Mt. Sterling; great grandchildren are Brittany, BJ, Blayton, & Bailey Reid, Kaleb & Justin Towler, Cade Lindsey, Cody & Colton Lindsey, and Jake Lindsey; step-great grandchildren Macy, Cheyanne, and Beau; great, great grandsons Jaden & Jaron Towler.
A Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 1, 2010 at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Sterling. Dr. Doyne Wiggins officiating with the interment following in Darbyville Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, October 31, 2010 from 2 – 5 p.m.
