Marilyn Louise Welker, age 86, born on September 26, 1934 in Fostoria, passed away peacefully at home on January 23, 2021. Preceded in death by her parents William “Bill” and Mildred “Pat” Welker, her sister Mary Suzanne “Sue” Gloyd and lifelong friend Geri Baker. Survived by siblings Barb (Ruth Ann) Welker and Bill (Bev) Welker. Several nieces, nephews and her fur baby Gabby. She graduated from St. Wendelin Catholic School in Fostoria and also from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in Springfield. She worked as a Surgery Technician, and also the Nursery room at Doctors Hospital in Columbus. Member of St. Brendan the Navigator Catholic Church. Marilyn retired from Nationwide as Coding Claim Specialist and volunteered as the front desk clerk at Riverside Hospital. She loved getting together with her friends to play cards, going to Grandview on Tuesday’s for her water color paintings; which was her passion. Marilyn loved to go to Lake Erie and fish and also was one of the sponsors for The Rescued Cats. She will be terribly missed by her family and friends. The family would like to give a special thank you to Mt. Carmel Hospice. Family will receive friends 9-10 am Thursday at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026. Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:30 am Thursday at St. Brendan the Navigator Catholic Church, 4475 Dublin Rd., Hilliard, OH 43026. Interment Deer Creek Cemetery.
