Marjorie A. Hanson, age 84 of Mt. Sterling, passed away Thursday, October 15, 2009 at Mt. Carmel West Medical Center in Columbus.
She was born Dec. 27, 1924 in Mt. Sterling, Ohio. The daughter of Coney Fred Nance and Hazel Vanoy Nance.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband, Martin D. Hanson; daughter, Martena Hanson, and grandson, Adam Hanson.
She is survived by children, Stanley (Martha) Hanson of Ocala, Florida, Patricia Martin of Circleville, and Rick Hanson of Mt. Sterling;
3 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren; sisters Patricia Lamping and Mary Wallace, both of Ocala, FL.; brother Fred Nance of Tampa, FL.
A Funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. on Monday, October 19, 2009 at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Sterling. Rev. Dortha Ross officiating with the interment following in Madison Mills Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Sunday from
2 – 5 p.m.
