Marjorie Jordan

Marjorie "Jean" Jordan, age 82, of Columbus, passed away November 24, 2010. Jean graduated from Ashland High School in 1946 and earned a B.S. Degree in Business Education from Ashland College in 1949. Preceded in death by her parents Howard and Helen Hess. After college she married Richard H. Jordan of Loudonville. Survived by her loving husband Richard, daughters Pamela (Edward) Alting of Hilliard and Sharon (Larry) Beers of Alton, sons Richard (Janice) Jordan of Worthington and David (Gina) Jordan of Dublin, 9 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, sisters Janice Yeater, Shirley Randall, Carol Rogers, brothers Robert Hess and Ronald Hess. She taught Business Education Courses at Loudonville High School, Valley View High School, East Liverpool High School and Eastland Vocational School. She has been a member of Immanuel Baptist Church ; where she served as a volunteer in the maternity Resource Center, nursery and a Sunday school teacher for many years. Family will receive friends 1-4 pm Monday at Immanuel Baptist Church, 3417 Palmetto St., Columbus, OH 43204; where funeral service will follow at 4 pm Monday. Private interment will be held at Ashland Dickey Church Cemetery, Ashland, OH. Please deliver all flowers to the church.
