Marjorie Roberts

Marjorie Kay Roberts, passed away peacefully from cancer, on Sunday, July 12, 2020, at Dublin Methodist Hospital. She was born October 4, 1939 to the late Thomas “Chief” Roberts and Marjorie Schlupp Roberts in Newark Ohio.  Kay was an R.N. with a career that spanned more than 50 years providing not only the best care for others but strong leadership to medical teams wherever she worked. Kay was always the life of the party and had a definite joy for life.  She loved to shop, play bingo, and eat out.  She loved to spend time at the ocean, especially in North Carolina. Preceded in Death by her parents - Thomas “Chief” Roberts and Marjorie Schlupp Roberts.  Her sister, Rebecca Tracy.   Her brother-in-law, David Reeder.  Her grandson, Tyler Geers.  Nephews:  Matthew Tracy and Whitney Reeder.  Kay was also preceded in death by her beloved dog, Beau, who was her constant companion before he died. Kay is survived by her children,Tad (Andrea) McConnell of New Bern, NC, Ginger (Bobby) Butcher of Plain City, OH, Polly Street of New Bern, NC, and Penny (Craig)  Geers of Grand Rapids, MI., siblings Stephanie Manley of Granville, OH, Sharon (Don) Meredith of Sylvania, OH, Pam (Ron) Cannon of Newark, OH, Candace Reeder of Utica, OH, Tom (Jessie) Roberts of St. Louisville, OH, John (Joanne) Roberts of Johnstown, OH, and  Wendy (Eric) Collins of Newark, OH., grandchildren Jeremiah Johnson of Columbus, OH, (Marjorie) Chloe Butcher of Reynoldsburg, OH, Claire Butcher of Reynoldsburg, OH, Carson Butcher of Plain City, OH, Kyle (Kristen) Geers of Seattle, WA and Samuel Geers of Grand Rapids, MI, numerous nieces and nephews.
