Marjorie A. Sherman, age 86, of Columbus, Friday, April 17, 2009 at Kobacker House. Retired from Ohio Bell Telephone Company. Life-long member of Camp Fire USA, Central Ohio Council, serving as leader of Camp Fire groups and in numerous board and committee positions along with her life-long support of her beloved Camp Wyandot. Charter member of Scioto Ridge United Methodist Church, where she was a founding and long time teacher of the preschool program; member of Delta Gamma Sorority; past member of Leatherlips Yacht Club and an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan. Preceded in death by loving husband of 51 years, Lester “Sherm”. Survived by children Christopher (Robin) Sherman of Dublin, Vicki Sherman of Grove City, and David Sherman of Hilliard, grandchildren, Ashleigh and Zachary Sherman, sister Jo Ellen Montei of Columbus, sister-in-law Maxine Cox of Ware, MA, several nieces and nephews, daughter-in-law Cathy Sherman and a host of friends. Family will receive friends Monday 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at the TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard. Funeral service will be held 10 am Tuesday at the Scioto Ridge United Methodist Church; 4343 Dublin Rd., Hilliard. The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to her many friends and the staff of HomeReach Hospice and Kobacker House for their care and support. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions made be made to Camp Fire USA or Scioto Ridge United Methodist Church. Interment Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
