Martha Kay Stroup Holstein age 78 passed away peacefully on February 14th. Martha Kay was born on December 30, 1939 in Mt. Sterling, Ohio to Idelle and Ben Stroup. She lived in Mt. Sterling all her life and knew no strangers. She worked for the State of Ohio most of her life. She was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by Artie Day, Jim Holstein, her brother Harley David Stroup, and her niece Yvette. She will be greatly missed by her 4 children, Ardelle and Glen Noggle, Kirby and Kim Day, Angie and Chris Marshall, Jimmy Holstein, and her sister Nellie Mae Debo, sister-in-law Mary Ann, 9 grandchildren: Jillian, Mitch, Nick, Erin, Haylee, Taylor, Harley, Katie, and Robert; 6 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, her dog Sammy, and many friends. There will be visitation on Tuesday, February 20, from 6-8 p.m. and a funeral service on Wednesday, February 21 at 11 a.m. at First Church of the Nazarene 226 N. Market St., Mt. Sterling, OH 43143. Interment will follow at Pleasant Cemetery, Mt. Sterling, OH. PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME is handling the arrangements for the Holstein family.
