Mary Ann Wells-Carius

May Ann Wells-Carius, age 70. The essence of beauty, grace and style, Mary Ann passed away surrounded by family Thursday, August 17th. Preceded in death by husband Ron, and parents Mary and Wayne Brown. Survived by husband Alan, beloved son Rob, brother Jim Brown, nephew Tyler James Potter-Brown of Boca Raton, Florida, mother-in-law Wauneda Petrich, and a host of life-long friends. Wells-Carius was a graduate of Hilliard High School Class of 1964 where she was a football cheerleader, basketball player and member of the homecoming court. Wells-Carius helped co-found the Hilliard Northwest News, the first suburban weekly newspaper in Central, Ohio and operated a successful publishing company for more than 25 years with her family. She was an active supporter of charitable organizations that helped better lives of people and a member of the Hilliard Church of Christ. In recent years, Mary Ann spent time traveling with her husband between homes in Hilliard and North Port, Florida. Mary Ann was, above all, a cherished wife, mother, sister and friend. Private memorial services were held at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME WITH CREMATORY, Hilliard, OH.
