Mary Sue Clevenger

Sue Clevenger, 86, passed away peacefully in her home on January 14, 2022, with her loving husband of 68 years, Joe, by her side. Sue was a wonderful wife, mom, mamaw and great mamaw.  Sue is the daughter of Tipton and Mabel Pieratt of Grayson, KY.  She attended Prichard High School where she cheered at a basketball game against her future husband who played for Hitchins High School. She is preceded in death by her brothers Osborne and David, sisters Vyda Fannin, Louise Miller and Dorothy Everman, son-in-law Steve Weese, and granddaughter Jennifer Clevenger.  In addition to her loving husband Joe, Sue is survived by her sister Joan Litz and children Joni (Mike) Beasley, Joe (Joyce) Clevenger and Jodi Clevenger.  Sue was affectionally called “mamaw” by grandchildren Benjy (Nicole) Beasley, Adam (Stacey) Beasley, Noah (Abbie) Beasley, Jacob (Kristin Simm) Beasley, Joli Beasley, Josh (Rachel) Clevenger, Megan (Joe) Moore, Skylar (Forrest Farson) Weese, and Max Weese. Sue was blessed with 15 great-grandchildren: Braden, Mackenzie, Addison, Abby, Noah, Evie, Amie, Camden, Zackary, Grace, Harper, Ambria, Charlotte, Hudson, and Lily.  

The family will welcome friends from 12:00-1:00pm WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 19, 2022, at HILLIARD CHURCH OF CHRIST, 4300 Avery Rd. Hilliard, Ohio 43026.  Funeral services will follow visitation and begin at 1:00 pm with Danny Vanscoy officiating.
