Mary Madigan Frasier was called home to Our Lord on Friday, December 27, 2019 due to complications from leukemia. Mary was born on July 26,1948 to the late Emmett and Elizabeth Madigan in Washington, D.C. She was the third of six children and as a child was remembered for her long braids, hatred of mornings, and perpetual sunny outlook. Mary attended Georgetown Visitation Preparatory School and Rosemont College, and spoke fondly of the influence of the Sisters at both institutions. Mary married Thomas Frasier on March 18,,1972. They raised four children in a joyful and loving home, initially in Allentown, Pennsylvania and later in Dublin, Ohio. When not focused on her own children, Mary was a social worker at an adoption agency helping couples realize the gift of parenthood. In retirement, Mary continued her ministry by volunteering at a crisis pregnancy center and counseling pregnant women as they chose life. Mary’s greatest loves were her twelve grandchildren for whom she traveled the country to babysit and cheer on in their various endeavors. She loved any beach but particularly enjoyed 71 years of family vacations in Bethany Beach, Delaware. Mary exemplified humility and kindness, particularly for those in her life that needed an attentive ear. Mary always let you know that you were loved.
