Mary "Froggatt" Flood

Mary “Froggatt” Flood, age 86, of Columbus, Ohio, was born on May 6, 1938 in Warrington, England and passed away on Friday, January 10, 2025 with her family by her side. Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, John “Jack” Flood in 2010, her parents Harold and Kathleen Froggatt, sister Kathleen Clare, grandson Dale Huckaby, and nephew Julian Clare.

Mary is survived by her children Elizabeth Bateman, John R. (Caroline) Flood, Jr., Stephen Flood, and Catherine Workman, her six grandchildren Matt (Rachel) Hale, George Liakos, Halle (Logan) Rash, Riley Flood, Danielle Workman, and Harrison Flood, her two great-granddaughters Austyn Rash and Charlotte Hale, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mary retired from National City Bank as a branch manager, after spending decades as a manager at Buckeye Federal. Mary was a parishioner at St. Brendan the Navigator Catholic Church where she volunteered. She was physically active throughout her life as a member of Spa Lady & Fitness and played in various golf leagues. Mary also held many board positions with various NCO and British Wives Clubs at different bases while Jack was in the service. Our parents took great pride in their lawn and worked diligently to keep it beautiful. Mary loved to travel and returned to England frequently. Since her retirement, Mary maintained close friendships with her former colleagues at Buckeye Federal while attending their monthly luncheon gatherings. She leaves behind an abundance of friends and relatives near and far.

Family will receive friends from 5:00p.m.-7:00p.m. WEDNESDAY at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich Street, Hilliard, OH 43026 (614)-876-1722. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00a.m. THURSDAY, JANUARY 16, 2025 at ST. BRENDAN THE NAVIGATOR CATHOLIC CHURCH, 4475 Dublin Road, Hilliard, OH 43026 with Father Sean Dooley, Celebrant. Mary will be laid to rest at Wesley Chapel Cemetery, Hilliard, Ohio.
