Mary (Bogenrife) Garrett

Funeral Services will be held for Mary (Bogenrife) Garrett, age 81, of Grove City, Ohio, on FRIDAY, JANUARY 19, 2018 at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 331 West Main Street, Mt. Sterling, Ohio 43143.  Visitation will be from 10:00a.m.-11:00a.m. with the Funeral Service immediately following.  Burial will be at Pine Grove Cemetery, 24760 Big Pine Road, Rockbridge, Ohio.  Mrs. Garrett passed away on Monday, January 15, 2018 at Riverside Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.  Preceded in death by her husband Berle “Bill” Garrett whom she married on December 26, 1989, Mary was also preceded in death by her parents Frank and Mary (McKinley) Bogenrife, sister Marilyn Spangler, and brothers Orville, Wayne and Carl Bogenrife.  Mrs. Garret is survived by her sister Doris (Frank) Dixon along with many nieces and nephews.  Mary retired from Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio after 35 years of service where she supervised the PBX operation.  After her retirement, she enjoyed traveling with her family to Daytona Beach, Florida and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.  The family would like to thank the staff of Riverside Hospital Neuro Intensive Care Unit and 7 Yellow Hospice for their compassionate care.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to: Nationwide Children’s Foundation, 700 Children’s Drive, Columbus, OH 43205 or to Ohio Health Hospice, 3535 Olentangy River Road, Columbus, OH 43214.  Please visit www.tiddfuneralservice.com to send condolences to Mary’s family.
