Mary Gloyd

Mary Suzanne (Sue) Gloyd, age 82, was born on December 9,1935 in Fostoria, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving daughters in Hilliard. On this day God must have felt that she was angel on earth for so many people, that God needed her in heaven more and decided to take her home on August 23, 2018. Preceded in death by her parents William “Bill” and Mildred “Pat” Welker, granddaughter Jessica Sue Tackett and James “Jim” Gloyd. Survived by daughters Debbie (Randy) Tackett, Beth (Brett) Jarrell and Kathy (John) Wiley, grandchildren James (Jen) Tackett, Matt (Lindsey) Tackett, Carson Jarrell, Brandon Jarrell, Madison Jarrell, Abby Jarrell, Danielle (Danny) Nunley and Emily Wiley, great grandchildren Jase Tackett, Ethan Cousins, Eva Tackett, Nora Tackett, Luke Tackett and Baby Nunley, siblings Marilyn Walker, Barbara (Ruth Ann) Welker and Bill (Bev) Welker, several nieces and nephews, her fur baby Cooper and longtime dear friend Susan Lanter. She graduated from St. Wendelin Catholic School in Fostoria and also from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in Springfield. She stayed at home to raise her family before she went back to nursing. Moved to Inverness Florida in 1978 and attended Our Lady Fatima Church in Inverness. Once she retired, she enjoyed traveling, working in her yard and spending time with her family. She volunteered at the Citrus County Sheriff Department. She was an avid animal lover. Not only was she a wonderful mother, she was also our best friend. She will be terribly missed and will always be remembered and loved. A special thanks to Hospice of Central Ohio, Mary Dauberman and wonderful caregivers for your caring and loving touch.
