Mary Ruth Howard, age 88, of Mt. Sterling, died Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at Logan Elm Health Care Center in Circleville. She was born November 10, 1922 in Lafayette, Indiana.
She was the daughter of the late James and Elizabeth (Morris) Rush.
Preceded in death by husband, George Howard (July 19, 1990); daughters, Ruth Ann and Mary Frances Howard, and Elizabeth “Betty” Young.
She is survived by daughters, Gloria Fletcher of Mt. Sterling, Evelyn Lee-Holstein of Canal Winchester; son, George Howard, Jr. of Columbus; 13 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren.
A Funeral service will be held 2:00 Saturday, April 30, 2011 at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Sterling. Family will receive friends from 1:00 until time of service.
In keeping with the wishes of Mrs. Howard, cremation will follow and burial will be at a later date in Pleasant Cemetery.
